The UConn SBA is dedicated to providing its members with invaluable first-hand experience in the sport business and entertainment industry along with tremendous opportunities for professional networking. By providing our members with unique opportunities to connect with top sports professionals, gain exclusive access to prominent sports businesses, and gain exclusive access to local sports internships, the SBA properly prepares each member for a career in sports and more.

Trips/Outings
To better understand the inner mechanisms of a major sports organization, SBA occasionally takes field trips to visit prominent sport businesses to experience their daily operations and network with elite sport professionals.

President
Grant Reed
Introducing Grant Reed who is the President of SBA. Grant is a senior from Washington D.C. majoring in Economics. In his current roles, he is a Marketing Intern for UConn Athletics as well as a Recruiting Operations Intern for UConn Football. Grant is a huge Los Angeles Lakers and Miami Dolphins fan and is looking forward to seeing the Fins win the Super Bowl this year. He is also looking forward to a fun and very successful year for the Sport Business Association!
Vice President
Nate Yamoah
Meet Nate Yamoah, the Vice President of SBA. Nate is a senior from South Windsor, Connecticut, and is double majoring in Finance and Sport Management. He’s currently a Student Manager for the UConn Women’s Basketball Team, as well as a Statistical Analyst for ESPN. Nate absolutely loves basketball and soccer and is one of the most passionate Lakers and Manchester United fans you’ll ever meet.
Director of Administration
Grace Zambarano
Meet Grace Zambarano, the Director of Administration. Grace is a senior Sport Management major from Monroe, CT. She is currently working as the Student Manager for the UConn Track & Field team in her third year with the team. Grace is a Dolphins fan, but if she had to choose her favorite sport to watch it would be volleyball.
Director of Digital Media & Director of Programming
Nate DelPrete
Meet Nate DelPrete, SBA’s Director of Programming and Director of Digital Media. Nate is a senior Sport Management student from Hanover, Massachusetts. He is in his 4th year working as a Graphic Design Intern with UConn Athletics. Born and raised just south of Boston, he is a massive fan of all Boston teams, as well as a Chelsea diehard and a Ferrari fan in Formula 1. Whatever sport you may enjoy, Nate will gladly talk about it!

Zachary Evensen
Meet Zach Evensen, SBA’s Director of Programming. Zach is a senior from Tolland, CT, majoring in Communications. He has recently worked at the Traveler’s Championship and is currently an intern with the Hartford Athletic. Zach is a huge football fan desperate to see the 49ers win a Super Bowl that he can witness, while also being a massive Josh Allen apologist. He also supports Arsenal, the Boston Bruins and Celtics, and the Toronto Blue Jays.
Director of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion & Director of Member Engagement
Komla Casimir Amezouwoe
Meet Cas, the Director of DEI and Director of Member Engagement for SBA. Cas is a junior from Togo, West Africa and is majoring in Communication. He is currently a student manager for the UConn Men’s Soccer team as well as a Game Day Assistant for UConn Athletics Marketing. Cas is also a big fan of Manchester United.

Anthony Zingalis
Meet Anthony Zingalis, the Director of Career Services. Anthony is a senior from Long Island, New York, and is majoring in Marketing with a minor in Communication. He’s currently a second year student worker for UConn Athletics. Anthony’s favorite teams include the Yankees, Giants, and Islanders.
Chief Marketing Officer
Michael Santos
Introducing Michael Santos, the SBA Chief Marketing Officer. Michael is a senior majoring in Sport Management from East Granby, Connecticut. Mike works with the UConn Athletics Marketing Department as an intern and also interns for UConn Sport Properties. When he’s not managing one of his five fantasy football leagues, Michael supports his Yankees, Steelers and his subpar New York Knicks.
Chief Financial Officer
Baxter McCarthy
Meet Baxter McCarthy, Chief Financial Officer of the UConn Sports Business Association. Baxter is from Reading, MA, and is a Statistics major with a minor in Economics. He is a Boston sports fan, but more specifically, he supports the Red Sox and Celtics. Overall, he is a huge fan of every sport while hoping to see Boston Sports rise to the top again.
Director of Fundraising
James DeFilippis
Meet James DeFilippis, the SBA Director of Fundraising. James is currently a senior Sport Management major. James is also minoring in Business Fundamentals. James is from the state of New York and is a huge Brooklyn Nets and New York Yankees fan. Oddly enough even though he is from New York he is a big fan and most passionate about the Denver Broncos. During his freshman year James worked as a Student Equipment Manager for the UConn football team.

Paige Bjerke
Meet Paige Bjerke, a co-coordinator of this year’s Sport Business Conference. Paige is a junior dual major in Sport Management & Communication from Weston, CT. She is currently in her second year as an intern with UConn Athletics Ticket Sales. Paige is a huge New York Knicks fan and is super excited to see all four 'Nova boys reunited this year. She also supports the New York Giants, Rangers, and Yankees.

Kate Boget
Meet Kate Boget, a Co-Coordinator and the Chief of Marketing for this year’s 8th Annual Sport Business Conference. Kate is a sophomore dual major in Sport Management & Marketing from Shelburne, VT. She is currently a Student Manager for the UConn Softball team, a graphic design and content creation student fellow for Championship Labs (NIL Activities), and a Scholarship Recipient for the Werth Institute of Entrepreneurship and Innovation. With parents that are Pittsburgh natives, Kate is a huge fan of the Penguins, Steelers, and Pirates!

Kyle Riendeau
Introducing Kyle Riendeau, Co-Coordinator of this year’s Sport Business Conference. Kyle is a senior majoring in Communications from Enfield, CT. Kyle currently works for UConn Football as both a Student Video Assistant, and a Recruiting Intern. He is a diehard Boston sports fan and is eager to attend yet another parade in the streets of Boston.

Will Bonazelli
Introducing Will Bonazelli, one of the co-coordinators for this year's Sport Business Conference. Will is a senior Accounting student from South Windsor, Connecticut. He is a huge hockey fan and currently plays on the club hockey team. Will is also a fan of the Dolphins, Bruins, Yankees, and Wizards and is looking forward to Tua winning the MVP along with a Dolphins Super Bowl.

Tanner Stimson
Meet Tanner Stimson, one of the co-coordinators for this year's Sport Business Conference. Tanner is a senior Marketing major from South Windsor, CT. He is currently working as a property assistant for UConn Sports Properties. Tanner is a huge fan for all things football and basketball while supporting the Patriots and Bulls. While both of his teams may be mediocre right now, he will always be rooting for them till the end.
